ABOUT

Mainstream?

Clinical. An entire branch of therapy focusing solely on body-based practices. In the 1980-90's, waves of accredited psychotherapists traveled to Prune, India to further their exploration of body-based therapy in the OSHO ashrams.

All different types of group therapy took place as a pre-requisite to be a part of OSHO ashrams, mixing in with the body-based practices of Rajneesh OSHO.

As a result of this cross-pollination, practitioners were able to access and learn tools through this "underground" scene that were once only available in a clinical and institutionalized setting in Western medicine.

Therapists and practitioners brought back their tools to the United States, many of whom were reluctant to openly share this information due to the potentially life-changing effects.

Because of this unconventional history , body-based therapy remains the most powerful undiscovered tool for users to impact their mental and emotional well-being.
